When you’re trying to lose weight, watching what you drink
is as important as watching what you eat.
With the warm summer weather, most of us find ourselves reaching for a cool drink frequently throughout the day. But with so many types of drinks to choose from, the question is, which beverage choices will help, rather than hinder, our weight loss goals and healthy lifestyle?
According to Holistic Pharmacist and Author Sherry Torkos, “First and foremost, it’s important to stay hydrated, both for overall health, and for losing weight. Sometimes people mistake thirst and hunger, so instead of always choosing food to provide that feeling of fullness, there are some common sense beverage choices that can help with satiety, so it’s easier to stay on track with your weight loss program.”
Choose functional water beverages over “energy” drinks.” Most so-called energy drinks actually have a dehydrating effect on the body because they’re full of caffeine. They have very little nutritional value and, when mixed with alcohol, can be hard on the central nervous system. Instead, opt for functional beverages, like Vitamin Water from Glacéau, that rehydrate and provide important nutrients, without artificial dyes, sweeteners, or caffeine.”
Water, Water, Water! “Water is absolutely essential for life and good health. Every day we lose water through normal bodily functions, exercise and environmental factors. Since every organ and system in our body requires water to function properly, drinking water should be a priority for all of us. So, how much is enough? Most dieticians recommend 8-12 cups of fluids daily to stay well hydrated (caffeinated beverages don’t count!). If you don’t like the taste of plain water, add a splash of lemon or other fruit juice for a flavor boost.”
The occasional cup of coffee or tea has benefits. “Tea is the most consumed beverage worldwide, and we’re learning that green tea may help promote weight loss by burning more calories and curbing appetite. For those who like coffee, new research has shown that it contains valuable antioxidants. But beware: One or two cups a day may have its benefits, but too much can lead to issues with anxiety, irritability and insomnia.”
Don’t wait until you are thirsty to have a drink, says Torkos. Rather, keep a container of water handy at all times and enjoy. “Supplying your body with the hydrating and nutrient-rich fluids it needs will enable you to enjoy the best of the summer and fall seasons.

Dah lama banget gak ngupdate niy blog, houfff…what a life ya! sudah banyak kisah2 yang terlewatkan dan tidak sempat kusiratkan diblog ini. secara, akunya ga ada waktu lagi buat online2 kya dlu lagi, selain itu, kisah-kisah hidup ini cukup panjang untuk aku tuangkan ke blog ini…lagi-lagi…what a LIFE…(lebay). anyway, besok kita sudah memasuki bulan Ramadhan, smoga nikmat dan barokah yang melimpah tercurah buat kita smua di bulan yang sudah kita tunggu-tunggu ini…selamat berpuasa untuk semua umat Muslim

Song of The Week, Sindentosca!
Yah, gak asing lagi kan, sindentosca dengan judul kepompong (ps: tau lagu ini dari adikku pia). Menurut sang penyanyi yg juga sebagai sang pencipta lagu,persahabatan itu di ibaratkan seperti kepompong,dimana,mengubah ulat menjadi kupu kupu.
Lagunya dalem ih,tapi maaf banget niy,video klipnya kurang semangat,vokalisnya lemes lunglai…tapi walobagaimanapun lyricnya emang pantes dapet acungan jempol~jempol dueh…menurutku,lagu ini udah membuat arti sahabat menjadi lebih jelas…dmana sahabat bisa mengubah hal yg tak indah menjadi lebih indah,apapun yg terjadi kita hanya perlu saling menghargai perbedaan
ngomong2 soal sahabat,jadi inget lia,inget ga pas kt d inti,ga bisa bobo,trus kt cerita soal ‘maling’ hehe,,,trus tuh inget ga dulu kita suka ngerubah posisi2 tmpat tdur biar dapet ‘ong’ yang tepat dan kamunya sampe muyek ndiri…hehe,,kangeeen ih!!! Btw, liaku sayur tetap semangat ya..apapun yg trjadi kamu yg tabah ya…Allah selalu punya rencana indah buat kita

Ketika Hati Gundah Gulana
Tgl 5 january 09 Jam10.30 meeting tgs kuliah akirnya kelar jg.aku brgegas pulang ke asrama (langsung menuju kantin) untuk mengisi perut kosongku.hufff dan makanan yg trisa hanya burger.ga ada pilihan lain,konser diperutku memang harus segera diakhiri.huhu.Pukul 12am tepatnya,badanku yang sudah sangat lelahnya tiba jg dipulau kapuk. Setelah seharian hilir mudik dikampus akirnya aku bs meregangkan otot2 kakiku dan bahu ku yg agak sedikit encok pegel linu gara gara salah tidur kemaren..humn..akhir2 ini diriku jadi insomnia dan sering gundah gulana tanpa diketahui sebab muababnya (halah!) humnn,kata zahrin ‘kamu tuh kbnyakan pikiran siy’ (kaya pejabat ajah) entahlah..apapun itu..aku hanya ingin tidur nyenyak seperti biasanya :(

Hufff…after 5 weeks holiday, ga kerasa…akirnya diriku kembali lagi ke habitat awal. kangen rumah. kangen zahrin. Now im alone and i have to struggle on everything by my own! huwaaahh…

Ujian…
Gak seperti ujian2 sebelumnya…kali ini suasana ujian sedikit berubah…mulai dari lingkungan, temen2 etc. Tiba2 saja, iiu berubah seperti kampus mati, silent, semua berlomba2 mempersiapkan diri untuk the day of judgement Tapi tidak untuk diriku, tiba-tiba saja penyakit malas ku datang menyerang…aaaaaaaa….yang ada akunya cuman males2an…nonton film, jalan2 etc hihi. Ujian demi ujian sudah terlewati, tinggal satu lagi, mata kul yang bisa buat perut mules-mules, yaitu business mathematics. hufff…its such a tough subject for me. untungnya gap antar ujian seblumnya lumayan jauh so i can prepare better. Tapi tidak pada kenyataanya, sejak hari rabu dan skrg ialah jumat, aku belum menyentuh buku huhu…penyakit ini menyerangku lagi….aaaaaaaa…..
bagaimana ini?? (lhaaa..pake nanya..ya balajar dong surrrrr…..) humnn…anyway, what is the most difficult thing in study??? huhu..the answer is to ’start’ !!!! aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa….semangatttt….!
